Mustafa Sarsılmaz, born February 19, 1959. MD 1983 and Specialist of Anatomy 1986, School of Medicine, Gülhane Military Medical Academy and Hacettepe University. Visitor fellow 1988-1990, London University, Royal Free School of Medicine.

Positions at the Anatomy Department, Gülhane Military Medical Academy, from 1983 to 1995, Associate Professor (1993) Gülhane Military Medical Academy, Ankara, and Professor (2000) of Anatomy at Fırat University, Elazığ. Chairman of the Department of Anatomy, Fırat University in 1995-2008. Current position is professor in Fırat University, Department of Anatomy.

Member of the National Society of Anatomy and Clinical Anatomy. Professor Sarsılmaz has published more than 180 scientific national and international papers within the field of neuroanatomy, neurophysiology and formaldehyde toxicity, and his papers are cited more than 140.

Married, has two children, and his hobbies are following new computer technologies and reading social books.
