Founding members of the Society of Anatomy and Clinical Anatomy were determined in the 1 st National Congress of Anatomy which was organized by the leadership of Ahmet Çimen, Professor of Anatomy, and Uludag University, School of Medicine, Department of Anatomy in Çekirge-Bursa on June 27-30, 1991
.

Board of Directors started initiatives in connection with foundation of the Society by applying to the Governorship of Ankara (October 28, 1991) and Charter is accepted by the Governorship, then came into force by being published in the Official Newspaper.
The First General Assembly of the Society of Anatomy and Clinical Anatomy was held on February 25, 1993 and new Board of Directors was elected.
